Student groups - free admission
Students at all school levels, as well as pre-schools, are welcome to
visit the Culture House accompanied by their teachers. A guided tour of
the exhibitions also includes a brief presentation on the building itself
and its history.
Guided tours:
- From 9 am to 4 pm each weekday
- Free admission for Student group
- Guided tours must be booked in advance
- Every effort is made to accommodate the wishes and interest of groups
in consultation with their teachers
- Bookings can only be made for one class (or a similar number of students)
at a time

Eddas and Sagas
Guided school visits to the exhibition
Medieval Manuscripts – Eddas and Sagas includes
writing on vellum with a quill and ink boiled of indigenous
herbs. The photograph shows a class of ten-year olds busy
writing.

Groups may request a guided
tour of the Culture House’s exhibitions. For bookings contact

Instruction is offered in English and Scandinavian, as well as Icelandic.
An open guided tour of the Medieval Manuscripts, and of other
exhibitions by demand, is offered Mondays and Fridays at 3:00 pm. No pre-booking needed and regular entry fee applies. See
